Article 7 of Federal Law No 7 of 2002 in Respect of Author Rights and Parallel Rights (the 'UAE Copyright Act') is very clear about the authorization that is required in order to undertake certain acts in relation to copyright works (which will include both the composed music and the sound recordings, in each case). The Article states that 'only the author and his successor or the copyright holder may authorize the exploitation of the work of art, in any manner whatsoever, namely by way of copying including downloading, electronic saving, any drama performance, radio broadcast transmission and re-transmission, public performance or communication, translation, rearrangement, amendment, renting out, borrowing, or publication in any manner including presentation via computers or information or communication networks or any other medium.' Any person or corporate entity using our Music without a license shall be liable for infringement of copyright. Failing to procure a license and any un-authorized usage of Music from the label of T-Series will be considered an infringement of UAE copyright laws. In the case of a violation we shall have the rights to claim compensation and damages with all available legal actions including but not limited to penal and civil actions and claims.
